Starbucks

Date: January 31 Time: around 7:40–7:45 AM I visit this Starbucks inside Giant regularly, and unfortunately this is not the first time I’ve had a negative experience with the same barista in the morning. Today, when I came to place my order, the woman behind the counter was extremely rude, cold, and hostile. I was polite and patient the entire time. When she said “give me a second,” I replied calmly, “no problem, take your time.” When she returned, I gave my order and asked if I could enter my phone number for rewards. Her response was not just unprofessional — it was aggressive and dismissive. No eye contact, harsh tone, icy facial expression, and an attitude that made me feel like I was bothering her simply by being there. This is the third time I’ve encountered this kind of behavior from the same person. Every time I see her behind the counter, it makes me not even want to order anything. Today I canceled my order and walked out because I refuse to be treated this way. Everyone has bad days. We are all human. But when someone repeatedly takes their mood out on customers, it becomes a pattern — and it ruins what should be a simple, pleasant morning coffee experience. Starbu

Seems to be a hit or miss experience here. More often that not the coffee is warm-ish and bitter and nor the standardized experience one should expect of a Starbucks. The variation seems to depend on time of day. The food is more obviously standardized and here you get what you expect. The staff are polite and they improve the experience at this particular location. If I didn’t shop in Giant I am not so sure I would ever buy coffee here. And, it is already becoming a less regular choice for me. This Starbucks also faces competition from a new drive-thru coffee shop in the same shopping plaza/car park.

I'm seriously tired of new managers coming in and saying something different from all the rest! If I don't get charged on the Starbucks Apps for extra syrupy that is ALREADY in the damn drink, I should NOT get charged in store. Absolutely ridiculous!!

My poor rating is completely related to a single, brief incident. I stopped by on my wife’s birthday to get the free drink that is offered by Starbucks through their app. When I got to the counter and explained the situation, the employee politely explained that they don’t honor those because they are a “Giant Starbucks.” (They are located in a Giant grocery store.) The policy of the franchise leaves a really bad taste in my mouth about the Starbucks brand.
